I went into the course looking for tools that would help me to speak about racism - my truth - without getting angry and frustrated, falling into the stereotype of the “angry black woman”. I left the course with much more. I found a space filled with beauty, bravery, light, honesty, sharing, truth and the interconnectedness of feminine power. It was cathartic for my journey because it was raw, and open to explore our internalised racial traumas, to connect with the pain, embrace it and then release it. It opened the way for healing, belonging and liberation.
Hani is a powerful Inclusion specialist. Being a speaker at the UiD masterclass, her session was of immense impact. The design was a great blend of statistics backed by relatable examples. There was great focus on the topic, however she refrained from keeping the session mundane and introduced powerful videos and Talks that kept the audience gripped, while deriving the takeaways with great clarity and impact. Being the organiser, I personally too was mighty impressed with her expertise and delivery skills.
We invited Hani to coach members of our Diversity Council. Hani has a depth of knowledge about inclusion which she has helped us to apply. Hani’s ability to deeply understand the issues, to guide us, challenge us and reflect on our progress with us, has been key to the success of our Diversity Council in its first year. We have also contracted Hani to train 40 of our people to have Brave Conversations, which has had a broad and lasting impact on our business. Her steady drive, curiosity and keen humour have cemented her as one of my most valued partners in the People Operations space.

I was recently involved in a discussion about race which was beautifully facilitated by Hani. Within it there were many challenging experiences to share and listen to and throughout Hani had the incredible ability to listen intently and stretch us gently, but with purpose. The ease with which she ensured the conversation remained focused, conscious and progressive was quite unique. She is truly an expert in her field. I’m immensely grateful to her and I’d highly recommend her.
Hani facilitated three different Diversity and Inclusion sessions, of which I was part, along with various Coaches and facilitators from various countries across the globe. Each time, I noticed additional ways in which she held space so skilfully, encouraging and embracing multiple divergent perspectives, leaving each person feeling honoured, respected and often gently stretched, discussing highly challenging topics. Her moderation and facilitation skills are that advanced and natural, that each participant left changed. That is, I am aware, a bold and provocative statement, yet I don't hesitate to say it.
